Slash took heroin because it "complemented" his personality.

The Velvet Revolver rocker has revealed he was drawn to the Class A drug when he was in Guns N' Roses because it suited him "perfectly" and helped him escape reality.

He said: "Heroin was like the ultimate complement to my personality. It just fitted perfectly. Everyone else was doing coke and speed, and made hyper people even more hyper. Whereas heroin just made me more reclusive and quieter. It was just me and my drug.

"It was escapism for me."

However, the legendary musician admits his addiction eventually became out of control.

When asked how much he used to do, he told GQ magazine: "However much I could get my hands on. If I finished a batch, I'd go hunting for it. It never stopped.

"I always injected. It's the only way as far as I'm concerned, go straight to the source."

These days, the 44-year-old rocker - who has two sons with his wife Perla Ferrar - is currently clean of drugs and has also given up alcohol.

Despite his eventful past, Slash admits he has no regrets.

He explained: "I don't miss it at the moment. Three years ago, I got really stressed because Velvet Revolver were in a state, and my marriage was in a state, and I went back down that road for a while, and while it was fun for a minute, it wasn't nearly as much fun as it had been before. I'd just grown out of that lifestyle.

"I don't regret any of it. I don't believe in having regrets. I haven't killed anyone, or anything like that. But I did go into rehab after that, for a month, and I really haven't wanted drugs since then.

"I dropped everything. And I feel good."

Rochelle Wiseman thinks her thighs are like "chicken drumsticks".

The 20-year-old Saturdays singer insists she has imperfections and admits she is not very confident with her body because she dislikes her legs so much.

She said: "My thighs are my worst bit. You know when a chicken drumstick is big and then goes quite small... they're like that!"

Despite watching what she eats, Rochelle struggles to motivate herself to go to the gym and resorts to clever dressing to make herself look slimmer.

She said: "I wear black and just put a waist belt on! I joined the gym, but I hardly go. I get really bored in the actual gym itself, so I like to go swimming. When I'm older I might consider Botox, but it's nice to grow old gracefully."

Rochelle is not the only member of the group to feel uncomfortable with her appearance.

Frankie Sandford, 20, said there were parts of her body she hated too, especially her "legs, bum and thighs" but she tries not to focus on them, and has hired a personal trainer to help improve her figure.

She said: "Lately I've been trying to exercise with a trainer, but it's almost impossible with our schedule. So I've been running around the field in the morning with the dogs."

Pamela Anderson's children are not aware of her sexy image.

The former 'Baywatch' star, who is one of the world's best known Playboy models, claims her sons Brandon, 13, and Dylan, 12, have barely seen any of her acting work because they are "not interested".

She said: "They've never seen 'Baywatch', I want them to watch it but they're not interested. 'Baywatch' isn't on right now where I am and they saw little parts in 'Borat' but that's about all they've seen."

Pamela, who made an infamous sex tape with her children's father, Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, believes the boys will eventually realise how she and her ex-husband are perceived, but isn't worried.

The 42-year-old star said: "They know I'm at school with the neon vest parking cars and doing safety patrol. Obviously they've grown up with me and they know there are paparazzi.

"They're not going to be shocked one day about anything about their father or I, but it's going to come naturally."

Kate Moss tells her friends what to wear.

The supermodel's friend, Sadie Frost, says her pal is always full of praise for those she loves and helps boost their confidence by urging them to show off their best assets.

Sadie said: "Kate is inspirational. She's got a fantastic attitude to her body and the thing about her is she's a real woman's woman. She is the first to tell you that you look gorgeous.

"She'll shriek at me and make me put on something that shows off my boobs and tell me how great they look.

"She's always the first to compliment a girlfriend on how they look. And she means it."

Sadie, 44, admits she often admires Kate's figure but is happy with her own shape.

She added: "Kate has an amazing body. She's got a bum and legs I'd love to have, but that's her. I'm smaller, bigger-boobed."

M.I.A. claims she is a terrible singer.

The 'Paper Planes' rapper - who is currently recording her third album, the follow up to 2007's 'Kala' - is astonished that she has carved out a successful career because she was always mocked for her lack of vocal talent.

said she is well known for being "tone deaf" and has no idea how she made it as a musician.

She said: "I used to walk down the corridor singing whatever was on the radio like 'Wonderwall' or whatever, and I was so off. It was so bad. Everyone used to notice. I was totally well known for being tone deaf at college."

The 31-year-old English star - whose real name is Maya Arulpragasam - insists she never strived for stardom and is amazed by how easily she achieved success in the US.

She said: "It's so strange because I didn't even try. American's got it by not getting it in a way. They have fewer preconceptions than in England. I used to try and explain my viewpoint to English people and they just didn't understand.

"Now I've got this international platform and it's so important to make a statement because that s**t is so f**king rare. It's so rare to have anyone say anything these days."

Bradley Cooper thinks it was "fantastic" people thought he was gay.

The 'Case 39' actor - who is dating his co-star Renee Zellweger - is amazed at how much of what is written about him is untrue and says the best rumour he's ever read about himself was after attending an event with his actor friend Victor Garber and it was reported they were dating.

He said: "People thought we were dating. It was all over the internet. It was the first time I read a rumour like that about me, and I just thought it was fantastic."

Bradley has always denied claims he is homosexual and insists he is very happy with his 40-year-old actress girlfriend, who he "really likes very much".

Despite his celebrity status, the 34-year-old hunk admits he never fitted in at school and was in awe of the "power" held by members of the sports teams.

He told the Independent newspaper: "I wasn't the smartest person in school, I wasn't the coolest kid. I really didn't have anything going on.

"I was fascinated by those sports jocks because they were so obviously a**eholes and didn't hide that fact. But they somehow had this power, that the rules of the universe didn't apply to the."

Nicole Scherzinger and Lewis Hamilton have split up.

The Pussycat Dolls star and her 25-year-old British racing driver lover have ended their 20-month romance because they want to "focus fully" on their own careers.

A statement from their spokesperson said: "They have decided to go their separate ways. They want to focus fully on their careers and will remain close friends."

Friends of the famous couple are shocked because Nicole and Lewis loved each other implicitly and were very happy.

One told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "It's sad because they did love each other. When you saw them trackside together they were always laughing and Nicole would give him a little peck on the cheek before the race. But they had to be realistic. There was no way they would continue their careers and stay together - it was too stressful. No one else is involved - their careers just got in the way."

In December, it was reported the couple hadn't seen each other in almost a month and even scrapped plans to spend Christmas Day (25.12.09) together.

At the time, a source said: "Lewis and Nicole have had a few problems for a while now. They love each other dearly but have incredibly busy schedules.

"Hopefully after a month apart, they will come to their senses and give things another go."

Lewis - who lives in Switzerland, while Nicole is based in Los Angeles - has previously blasted speculation their relationship was in trouble.

The Formula One ace said: "This is bulls**t. We are still together."

The couple first met at the MTV Europe Music Awards in November 2007 and started dating in May 2008.

Amy Winehouse has blasted her father for talking about her problems in public.

The troubled 'Back To Black' singer is furious with her "embarrassing" dad, Mitch, after he appeared on British TV documentary 'My Daughter Amy' last week, and spoke about her battle with drug addiction, relationship woes with ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil and other struggles.

She wrote on twitter: "Why don't my dad write a song when something bothers him instead of going on national tv? And you thought your parents were embarrassing. (sic)"

Taxi driver-turned-TV presenter and swing singer Mitch, 58, has been vocal about Amy's problems in recent months, revealing she is now struggling to curb her spending.

He said: "Amy quit the drugs in her own way. In 2008, she said to me, 'Dad, I don't want to do this any more.' And she hasn't. I'm more proud of her for that than for her music - she's done it all herself.

"But she's not out the woods yet. She's a recovering addict and other problems have developed.

"Shopping is a problem. She'll go into Agent Provocateur and spend £3000 on underwear in one go."

He also blasted 26-year-old Amy's ex-husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, 31 - who is currently undergoing court-ordered treatment for his own drug problems - and admitted he is worried they have reconciled.

He said: "Their relationship was a disaster. It was destructive and they're lucky one of them didn't die. Two addicts can't be in a relationship."

Liza Minnelli is planning to undergo knee-replacement surgery in the next week.

The legendary entertainer - whose album 'Liza's at the Palace' has been nominated in the Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album category - has cancelled her plans to attend the Grammy Awards ceremony on January 31 because she will still be recovering from the operation in a New York hospital.

Her spokesman insisted the operation was not serious, but a routine procedure in women of her age.

He said: "Liza, who has been dancing on stage since she was a teenager, is 63. She is expected to make a full recovery."

The iconic performer recently claimed she is incredible shape, but admitted she is starting to feel the effects of aging.

When asked her secrets to keeping fit, she said: "Hard work and constant touring is a good start. When I am not touring and home in New York, I go to dance class every morning with my beloved Luigi at his dance studio. Between touring and Ron Lewis's tough rehearsals, I'm honed like a tennis player, even if time has slowed me just a tad."

Mel Gibson's new film has caused over 200 prisoners to be moved around Mexico.

The 54-year-old actor sparked protests over his plans to shoot scenes - believed to be for 'How I Spent My Summer Vacation', a movie he has written and stars in - at the Ignacio Allende prison in the eastern state of Veracruz, after 214 inmates had to be sent to at least four other detention centres in the country to accommodate the set.

The prisoners were escorted from the jail - which usually houses 1,000 convicts - by police and soldiers between midnight on Friday (08.01.10) until roughly 3am on Saturday morning (09.01.10).

Despite the early hours, the move resulted in furious scenes of protest from friends and relatives, who claimed they would have to travel further to make their regular visitations to their loved ones.

Those transported during the operation have been held on murder, robbery, drug trafficking, kidnapping and other serious charges.

In 'How I Spent My Summer Vacation', Mel portrays a career criminal caught in Mexico and placed in a tough prison, learning to survive after a nine-year-old boy offers him help.

The film is due for release in 2011.
