The Sugababes have made a resolution to crack the US in the New Year.

The British girl group - who have had a difficult year after the last remaining original member Keisha Buchanan left the band in September to be replaced by Jade Ewen - plan to launch a full blown assault on America in 2010.

Heidi Range, 26, said: "We're planning to go over there next year. We can't wait. We don't know when it will be as we have so much to do in the UK first, but it will happen."

Heidi - who is also joined in the trio by Amelle Berrabah - believes the girls have as much chance as anyone to crack the US.

She said: "There's room for everyone in the US. We've delayed our new album until next year. Hopefully, by then, we'll have all moved on and can just talk about music."

Sienna Miller only agreed to holiday with Jude Law and his children if he left their nanny at home.

The 'GI Joe: Rise of the Cobra' actress joined the actor - whom she broke off her engagement to in 2005, after she found he had cheated on her with his children's carer Daisy Wright - in the Caribbean, but only after he agreed to her ultimatum.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Haunted by what happened the last time they were together, Sienna is leaving nothing to chance second time around.

"She wants her and Jude to work on their friendship first and foremost, and then see if love blossoms.

"But by the same token, she doesn't want any reminders of his infidelity.

"So she's made sure the children's nanny has returned to England before she joins Jude on holiday in Bequia, from Barbados.

"Sienna wants it to be just her and the family, and for them to have a quiet, low-key celebration together."

Jude is spending the festive period with his three children - Rafferty, 13, Iris, nine, and Rudy, seven - from his marriage to actress Sadie Frost as well as Sienna, which has reportedly upset his parents, as they don't approve of him reconciling his romance with the 'Edge of Love' star.

Another source said: "They have made it abundantly clear he doesn't have their blessing. They want him to be happy but think the two of them together is a recipe for disaster.

"They believe the relationship was a rollercoaster the last time and they were left to pick up the pieces when it finished."

Charlie Sheen has blamed his drinking for his alleged attack on wife Brooke Mueller.

The 'Two and a Half Men' actor - who was arrested on Christmas Day (25.12.09) after reportedly assaulting his spouse with a knife - has told friends he feels "awful" about his actions but knows it wouldn't have happened if he had stayed away from alcohol.

One revealed: "Charlie feels awful. He let himself down by drinking ... And he wants to be with his kids."

Despite the alleged attack, Charlie is determined to make his third marriage last for the sake of the couple's nine-month-old twin sons Bob and Max.

The friend added: "Charlie has two little boys and he does not want to get divorced again."

Charlie, 44, and 32-year-old Brooke are said to be having marriage counselling in bid to save their 19-month union.

A source said: "Brooke and Charlie still love each other, but they are very different.

"For the good of the children they definitely want to see if counselling will help before anything further is decided."

Charlie was arrested for second-degree assault, menacing and criminal mischief while the pair were holidaying with family in Aspen for Christmas.

Details of the telephone call made by Brooke to the police were revealed on Tuesday (29.12.09).

She said: "My husband had me with a knife and I'm scared for my life, and he threatened me. I thought I was going to die."

She paused when asked his name, before confirming: "It's Charlie Sheen."

Kourtney Kardsahian has given birth to a baby boy.

The reality TV star and her on/off boyfriend Scott Disick welcomed 7lbs 6oz son Mason Dash Disick into the world yesterday (14.12.09) and both mother and baby are doing well.

A publicist for the first time mother said: "Kourtney just delivered a healthy baby boy about an hour ago."

Soon after the birth at a Los Angeles hospital Kourtney sent sister Kim out to get a her tuna sandwich from popular Beverly Hills deli Nate 'n Al.

Kourtney, 30, revealed she was expecting a son in October, saying: "Scott and I are thrilled to add a little boy to the bunch. A boy is definitely needed in this family!"

Kourtney announced she was pregnant in August after discovering she was expecting after filming a new reality TV show with her other sister Khloe.

She said: "We were in the Everglades and I kept feeling nauseous and sick and I just kept thinking, like, something wasn't feeling right. I've never missed a period in my life."

Courtney Love has lost custody of her daughter.

According to court documents, guardianship of Frances Bean Cobain, 17, has been awarded to Wendy O'Connor and Kimberly Dawn Cobain, the respective mother and sister of Frances' late Nirvana frontman father Kurt Cobain.

The temporary guardianship of 17-year-old Frances was awarded on Friday (11.12.09), and although no reasons for the decision have been released, the change in custody arrangements follows a turbulent period in Courtney's personal life.

In August, she was pictured looking gaunt and thin, sparking speculation she was using drugs again.

A lawyer for Wendy and Kimberly would only say the change was a "private family matter."

Courtney's lawyer Keith Fink - who was not present in court for the hearing - said: "All I can tell you as Courtney's friend is she loves her daughter more than anything in the world.

"Courtney will no doubt do what is best for Frances and will surely take her teenage daughter's desires and feelings into consideration with respect to the legal guardian issue."

Although the guardianship is for both Frances' personally and her financial well-being, her grandmother and aunt do not have power over the trust established after Kurt's death.

Courtney, 45, previously lost custody of Frances to Wendy in 2003 after she took an overdose and was subsequently arrested on drug related charges. She won back custody of Frances in 2005 after a lengthy court battle.

A hearing to appoint a general guardian for the teenager is pending.

Kate Moss is trying to find a girlfriend for Pete Doherty.

The 35-year-old supermodel believes Alison Mosshart, her boyfriend Jamie Hince's Kills bandmate, would be the perfect match for her troubled ex-boyfriend, who she split from in 2007, and is now planning a double date.

A friend told the Daily Star newspaper: "Kate still has deep feelings for Pete and really wants to be happy and to enjoy life. Since falling head-over-heels in love with Jamie she wants to help Pete achieve the same.

"Pete and Alison have met, she thinks he has a lovely soul and he really fancies her. They're a good match as they're into the same things - music, painting and quirky fashion.

"She thinks Alison would be a calming influence, but she's tough and won't take any rubbish. Kate wants them all together for a weekend in her Cotswolds country house."

Kate and Alison have previously clashed over the supermodel's interfering.

Alison was reportedly furious when Kate voiced her intentions to accompany The Kills on an Australian tour earlier this year amid fears she would try to take to the stage with the group.

A source said: "Alison has told Kate to keep her boundaries and keep away from the microphone. Alison and Jamie have worked for years to make a name for themselves and have only recently had the success she thinks they deserve.

"She sees Kate as a spanner in the works and, until she came along, Alison always came first with Jamie."

Kate Hudson was reportedly dumped by Alex Rodriguez because she was too much of an attention seeker.

The 'How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days' actress and the New York Yankees baseball star split earlier this month and sources claim Alex, nicknamed A-Rod, had grown tired of Kate's behaviour when she went to watch him play.

One said: "Kate wanted more camera time each and every game. She would always want to be styled before games and she'd insist on front-row seats.

"It was a turn-off to have a girlfriend who always wanted to be on camera. Alex wanted someone who was more interested in building a long-term relationship than just building their profile."

Alex - who has two young daughters with ex-wife Cynthia - also felt smothered by mother-of-one Kate and wanted more freedom.

The source added to gossip blogger Perez Hilton: "He's just coming off of a 13-year relationship with his ex-wife and a recent divorce. He has two lovely children with his ex-wife, and that requires a certain amount of responsibility. She gave him ultimatums that a newly divorced father can't meet."

However, the split was amicable and the couple remain good friends.

Guy Ritchie is overjoyed to be spending Christmas Day (25.12.09) with his children.

The 'Sherlock Holmes' director - who has nine-year-old son Rocco and adopted Malawian son David Banda with 'Celebration' singer Madonna - is going all out to make the day "traditional" and special for the youngsters after his ex-wife gave permission for them to spend the day at his home.

A source said: "Guy is really pleased, and cannot quite believe he and Madonna came to such an amicable arrangement. He is a huge fan of Christmas and wants to do everything by the book, very traditionally."

The British filmmaker is so determined to make the day memorable, he has promised to rustle up a delicious roast turkey lunch with all the trimmings and "spoilt them rotten".

The source explained to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "This means stockings hanging from under the kids' beds, presents under the tree and a massive turkey, Brussels sprouts, chestnuts, the works.

"When Guy and Madonna were together they didn't really celebrate Christmas Day due to Madonna's staunch Kabbalah beliefs. Now that he's a single man, Guy is determined to spoil them rotten and give the youngsters a Christmas they'll never forget."

Madonna - who also has daughter Lourdes, 13, and four-year-old adopted daughter Mercy - and Guy announced they were to divorce in October 2008 after almost eight years of marriage.

It is not clear whether the girls will also be invited to Guy's Christmas bash.

Guy's attitude to Christmas is very different to when he was married to the 'Holiday' hitmaker.

In 2007 he revealed that the family didn't give each other gifts.

He said at the time: "We cancelled Christmas a few years ago. Stopped all the presents. And ever since we stopped the presents, we're actually enjoying it."

Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal have reportedly split up.

The Hollywood couple - who began dating in 2007 - have decided to call time on their relationship but sources insist the break-up is amicable.

One said: "There are no other people involved. The relationship just ended. It just fizzled. But they also wanted to be careful and private about it because of Reese's kids."

Reese - who has two children, Ava, 10, and six-year-old Deacon, with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe - and Jake were rumoured to have split two weeks ago but their representatives insisted they were still very much together.

But after spending some time apart, they realised the romance was over.

The source added to E! Online: "They needed time to figure it out and they were on different coasts. When they were finally together, they talked it out and decided they're not going to be together anymore."

In October, it was claimed the couple had got engaged after the Oscar-winning actress was spotted flaunting a gold band on her wedding finger.

A source said: "Reese looked delighted, and she was definitely showing off the ring. She kept holding her finger up for people to see, she even flashed it around when she was getting in her car."

Robert Downey Jr. is "a monster" on set.

The actor admits he can be prone to "aggressive outbursts" when shooting a film, which happen because he has to use up all his creative energy before he goes home.

Robert - who stars in Guy Ritchie's new movie 'Sherlock Holmes' as the famous fictional detective of the film's name - said: "If it comes to aggressive outbursts regarding creative particulars, I'm a monster! I don't mean like I act badly or make people feel s***ty or anything, but I get really wedged up.

"It's all I've got in the day, until I get home to my actual life at home. It's all I've got."

Robert, 44, also revealed his 15-year-old son Indio wrongly thinks his grandfather - the actor's director father, Robert Downey Sr. - is a hippy.

The 'Iron Man 2' star added to Shortlist magazine: "There was this book that came out called 'The Film Snob's Guide To Hollywood' or something, and they call him, 'hippy film director Robert Downey Sr. Father of,' and my kid thinks he's a hippy. I know I wasn't.

"I had my f***ing hair spiked up, snorting coke and was f***ing driving a Porsche. The last thing I was, was a hippy. But my kid thinks he is.

"He was the original and I would not be doing all this if not for him. He had this time when he innovated and was a real auteur, a maverick guy."
