What you want to be seen in this Bank Holiday
Everyone and anyone are dusting of their dancing shoes this weekend as the countdown to the long awaited August bank holiday weekend is almost over. Whether you’re heading on down to one of our Xclusivetouch events at some of London’s biggest clubs or off to the highly anticipated Notting Hill Carnival, we have some high street outfit ideas that will help you celebrate a day off work in style!
We all know Bank Holiday’s are the perfect excuse for going out and enjoying yourself, and what better way to hit up the streets of London and party like never before. This season it’s all about the spaghetti strap cami so why not embrace the last of London’s sunny weather and Spring/Summer13 with taking that trend and going bright and bold. This neon green v neck cami (Topshop: £18) teamed with a white, mesh cut out midi skirt (Topshop: £15 reduced from £25) is sure to turn heads. Everyone knows no outfit is complete without a sky high heel or statement jewellery so this gold chunky box chain necklace from ASOS (£18) and these platform peep-toes (Misguided.co.uk: £29.99) compliment the look nicely. Top off with this black, suede envelope clutch (Topshop: £28) and you’re good to go!
Notting Hill Carnival:
This weekend also see’s the return of the famous Notting Hill Carnival, an event celebrating music and culture with the main aim being to have an amazing time. Although there’s no carnival dress code, half the fun is in creating an outfit so why not go all out and go in style. These Boohoo.co.uk denim cut offs (£18) are perfect for London this weekend with the sun expected to make an appearance, if you are in doubt with the weather, team it with this Kimono (Topshop: £65), a bit of reassurance if it does happen to be overcast. The carnival starts at 9am on both Sunday and Monday morning so comfortable shoes are on the top of everyone’s checklist; why not try these orange slipper shoes (Topshop: £18), perfect for a day of dancing in the streets. Finish the look off with this beautiful petal headband from ASOS (£10)
If you’re looking for somewhere less crowded than Notting Hill carnival but still with an exciting vibe, Camden beach is the place to go. Think barbecues, fresh fish, cocktails and ping pong. It’s the last weekend that Camden Beach is open and it is expected to go off with a bang with reggae band Tempting Rosie providing a free gig, the perfect pre-drinks warm up before a night out at one of our clubnights! The dress code is very similar to the Carnival, being all about fun and excitement with a beachy vibe. This bikini (£35: Motelrocks.com) is perfect for doubling up as a top that can be tucked into a skirt (Topshop, £36) perfect for an impromptu paddling pool splash. Keep all your belongings safe and secure in a backpack (New Look: £22.99) and accessorize with a loud necklace (New Look: £8.99)
